BRINE EVAPORATOR PROCESS EVALUATION
Process Engineering Associates, LLC (PROCESS) was contracted by a fabrication shop to evaluate the capacity of a shell-and-tube heat exchanger used as a condenser in a brine evaporation process. A simulation of the exchanger was developed by PROCESS using its licensed commercial computer process simulation software heat exchanger evaluation and design package (CHEMCAD CCTHERM). The client submitted the process duty required and heat exchanger configuration information. PROCESS used this information to determine if the existing exchanger was large enough for the given duty.
