BENZOIC ACID FACILITY BLOCK FLOW DIAGRAMS PREPARATION
The client, a European based process engineering investment consultant, had a client who was considering the construction of a greenfield facility to manufacture benzoic acid and its derivatives. The client needed basic process engineering documentation as a basis for consideration of the project. Process Engineering Associates, LLC (PROCESS) was contracted, due to its knowledge of, and experience with benzoic acid manufacturing facilities, to provide simplified, facility-wide process flow diagrams (PFDs), or block flow diagrams (BFDs), depicting primary unit operations and equipment requirements based on known production routes. PROCESS developed these diagrams to show major process units, raw material and product storage, integrated recycle streams, and primary utility systems.
