Project Summary
PROCESS SAFETY/RISK MANAGEMENT CONSULTING
The client owns and operates a lubricants production facility. The client’s concerns regarding regulatory coverage issues prompted the client to contract with Process Engineering Associates, LLC (PROCESS). PROCESS provided engineers experienced in process safety and risk management to perform three tasks for the client.
During Task 1, PROCESS assisted the client in determining the extent of regulatory coverage by OSHA’s process safety management (PSM) regulation, 29 CFR 1910.119, and EPA’s risk management program regulation, 40 CFR 68. In performing Task 1, PROCESS documented justification for excluding certain processes from regulatory coverage and helped the client identify the extent of regulatory coverage.
During Task 2, PROCESS performed a hazard assessment of selected process areas, which generated justification for excluding additional processes from regulatory coverage.
During Task 3, PROCESS prepared the client’s Risk Management Plan for submittal to the EPA to help the client satisfy subpart G of the EPA RMP Regulation.
