Project Summary
PIPING MODIFICATION DESIGNS TO AN ACID CLEANING LINE
Process Engineering Associates, LLC (PROCESS) was contracted by a specialty metals manufacturing company to prepare piping design modification drawing packages in AutoCAD for their acid cleaning line’s Hydrochloric Acid dip tanks and their final spray rinse tank. As part of this effort, PROCESS completed the following tasks:
- Final Spray Rinse Tank – verified existing as-built conditions and prepared piping design modification drawings to accommodate the client’s design of additional spray nozzles to be added inside the tank. After the piping was installed, PROCESS returned after the modifications were complete to document the as-built conditions.
- Hydrochloric Acid Dip Tank Steam and Condensate Piping Modifications – Due to the client changing the type of heat exchangers used in their dip tanks, steam pressure reducing stations needed to be added to the existing steam and condensate piping at (4) separate dip tanks. PROCESS verified the existing as-built conditions and prepared piping design modifications drawings for the client. PROCESS returned after the modifications were complete to document the as-built conditions.
