for SAFETY INSTRUMENTED SYSTEMS (SISs)
Process Engineering Associates, LLC (PROCESS) has performed layer of protection analyses (LOPAs) for numerous clients (Refineries, Chemical Plants, Petrochem Plants) in order to assign target SILs to the safety instrumented functions of safety instrumented systems. Assigning the target SILs helped the clients incorporate the SIL selection requirements of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI)/Instrumentation, Systems, and Automation Society (ISA) standard 84.00.01 – 2004 into their Process Safety and Risk Management Program.
