Project Summary
SHAFT KILN MgO PRODUCTION PROCESS ENGINEERING ASSISTANCE
The client, a process development company, contracted Process Engineering Associates, LLC (PROCESS) to research alternatives for the conversion of magnesium hydroxide, Mg(OH)2, to dead burned Magnesium oxide, MgO. In support of this effort, PROCESS researched potential MgO hearth and kiln production technologies. These results were supplied to the client and a preferred technology was identified. PROCESS then assisted the client in preparing submissions to the technology provider and in obtaining cost quotes for the packaged unit process.
