ESTABLISH PROCESS SPECIFICATIONS FOR REFINERY INSTRUMENTATION UPGRADES
Process Engineering Associates, LLC (PROCESS) was contracted by the client, an independent refiner, to calculate process conditions for various key refinery instruments for specific refinery units. This allowed refinery technicians to specify the purchase of new instruments with the correct ranges.
PROCESS performed the following tasks in support of this effort:
- Using a simulation model developed during a previous project to establish a mass and energy balance, PROCESS created a table that recommended appropriate ranges for several flow, temperature, and pressure instruments
- Issued the summary table to the client.
