SCRUBBING SYSTEM AIR SUPPLY PIPING SIMULATION AND SIZING
Process Engineering Associates, LLC (PROCESS) was subcontracted by the client, an engineering and design firm, to size air supply piping for a spray dryer application for the ultimate client, who designs and manufactures scrubbing system technologies for the power industry. The ultimate client required that the pipe sizing be executed using commercial process simulation software. To this end, PROCESS modeled the air piping using its licensed commercial computer process simulation software, CHEMCAD. PROCESS modeled numerous operating cases, including an air humidification operation case, and issued a project report to the client confirming appropriate line sizes for the air piping network associated with this application.
